Projects for Local Charities

Good Cheer Quilts

A "Good Cheer" quilt is a fun and quick quilting project our members complete at their leisure at home.  Our Good Cheer Quilt committee prepares kits of pre-cut fabric and instructions which can be picked up at the guild meeting.  These brlght, cheerful quilts are donated to "Interfaith Community Services" who in turn distributes them locally to those in need of good cheer

Rare Bears

Rare Bears is an effort near and dear to our hearts.  The Rare Sciences organization is dedicated to researching and treating rare diseases that impact lives all over the world.  The Rare Bears Army is a group dedicated to assembling bears which are then given to children all over the world suffering from these rare diseases.

Security Blankets

Security Blankets are made by guild members in support of the Forensic Department of Palomar Hospital.    The blankets are donated to the Forensics department for their clients who need to surrender their clothing as evidence.  Along  with their hospital  gown, the blankets are provided for warmth, comfort, and an added  sense of security.   The blankets are sewn  from 1 and 2/3 yards of solid color fleece fabric supplied and hemmed by our members.

Solutions For Change

The members of the  Escondido South Morning Neighborhood Group have been donating their sewing efforts to create quilts for this organization dedicated to helping those less fortunate in San Diego County.
